Payday 3, the latest installment in the renowned Payday series, offers an array of thrilling missions, including heists on armored vehicles and high-end penthouse suites. In the third mission, Dirty Ice, players are tasked with casing and robbing a luxurious jewelry store, complete with a lobby, a VIP Showroom, and a tempting vault stocked with precious jewelry. To secure Ashton Fine and gain access to the vault, players must track down the elusive blue and red key cards. Here’s a guide on where to find them and how to use them effectively.

Blue Keycard: Unveiling the Security Room

The blue keycard plays a pivotal role in granting players access to the jewelry store’s security room. This essential card can be obtained by discreetly swiping it from one of the patrolling guards. Sneak up behind a guard or employ more direct methods to eliminate them. Keep in mind that not every guard will carry the keycard, so be vigilant. Look for the blue keycard clipped to the back of the guard’s belt.

Once in possession of the blue keycard, proceed to the basement. Here, behind locked PIN-secured doors, lies the store’s secure basement area. In the middle of this space, toward the front door of the first floor, you’ll find a door fitted with a blue keypad lock. One guard patrols the main section of the basement, and another guard stands just inside the door. Deal with the first guard, unlock the keypad, and take out the second guard to gain access to the store’s security camera system and discover ammo pickups in the lockers.

Red Keycard: Unlocking the VIP Showroom Vault

The red keycard is located in the basement storage room, home to the VIP Showroom Alarm switch. While navigating this area, watch out for the guard patrolling the main section of the basement and two security cameras with a surveillance rotation covering the storage room door. With precise timing and positioning, players can pick the lock on the storage room door and stealthily gain entry. The coveted red keycard awaits just inside, resting on the left side of a safe.

Armed with the red keycard, you’ll gain entry to the high-priority vault adjacent to the VIP Showroom. However, this requires an additional step. Players must take an employee hostage, using them as a human shield, and guide them to the button on the manager’s office desk. Once this is accomplished, swiftly swipe the red keycard against the pad located next to the vault. The vault will then unlock, granting access to the precious gemstone inside, ready to be bagged up.
