D3Publisher has revealed that the highly anticipated Earth Defense Force 6 is gearing up for a Western release on PC and consoles in the spring of 2024.

Fast forward to the distant year 2025, where humanity has achieved a semblance of global peace after successfully vanquishing the enigmatic invaders known as the “Primers.” Yet, this triumph came at a steep cost, as 90 percent of Earth’s population perished, and civilization teetered on the brink of collapse.
Picking up the narrative after the events of Earth Defense Force 5 (read the review here) in the year 2027, the world’s safety remains threatened. Alien colonists persist, and the once covert tension between the two species has erupted into open hostility. This ongoing strife has led to a steady increase in the number of invasive life forms lurking in the shadows, and the responsibility for safeguarding the planet falls squarely on the shoulders of the legendary Earth Defense Force (EDF).
Returning with a vengeance, the Ranger, Air Raider, Wing Diver, and Fencer classes are back, now armed with an array of fresh abilities and cutting-edge equipment. Players are in for a challenging and action-packed experience with hundreds of new missions and an impressive arsenal of weapons at their disposal. Earth Defense Force 6 also supports cooperative play, enabling two-player split-screen co-op or online multiplayer sessions for up to four players.
