A Well-Earned Tribute to a Dedication Decade
In the ever-expansive world of Final Fantasy 14, one player achieved a remarkable feat: earning all 2,751 then-available achievements. This incredible accomplishment took a decade of unwavering dedication, with a single achievement alone requiring seven years of perseverance.
Impressed and appreciative of this unparalleled dedication, the game’s director and producer, Naoki Yoshida, addressed this monumental achievement during a press conference at London’s Fan Festival. Speaking through a translator, Yoshida expressed his admiration, saying, “First and foremost, I just want to say wow, big congratulations. To see that player just stick with it, just pressing on… as a creator of an MMO, that’s a really fantastic thing to see.”
Acknowledging the significance of this milestone, Yoshida is willing to go the extra mile for this remarkable player. He stated, “Of course, we will continue to make achievements in the game, but whether we create an achievement which would be of higher difficulty, that all boils down to this certain player. If they are requesting it, then of course we’d be happy to do it. In that case, just drop us a message on forums.”
While this offer might sound like a jest, Yoshida is genuinely committed to honoring this player’s achievement with a custom accomplishment. “If you do send us the message, I trust you. We will keep our promise.”
This gesture serves as a heartwarming tribute to a player who invested an enormous amount of time in the world of Eorzea, exploring its vast offerings. If the player chooses to accept the challenge, it remains to be seen what formidable achievement the creators at Final Fantasy 14 will craft. Here’s to hoping it doesn’t involve another seven-year endeavor.
