Game-Breaking Bugs and Unforeseen Glitches Plague League of Legends After Latest Update

Riot Games, the power house behind League of Legends, found themselves on the defensive as players faced a wave of unprecedented issues following the release of LoL Patch 13.20 on October 11th. The community was left astounded as long-standing champions and familiar game elements were marred by bugs and glitches, prompting an immediate response from the developers.
Developers Race to Salvage League of Legends Post-LoL Patch 13.20
The gaming community was left in shock as prominent bug expert and YouTuber Vandiril exclaimed, “Okay, League of Legends is currently in chaos. This patch is something else. Holes in the maps, misplaced jungle plants, dragon maps in disarray. We have it ALL right now…”
Amidst random map deformities, oddly positioned jungle plants, and malfunctioning elemental dragon maps, champions such as Illaoi, Tryndamere, and Shaco were rendered completely dysfunctional post-LoL Patch 13.20.
Pro player Kevin “Mishigu” Westerbacka expressed his frustration, stating, “Not even the worst part, 6 days ago the Worlds map was introduced on the Tournament Realm, rendering us unable to scrimmage anymore. Riot knew this would happen and still released it…”
Mishigu elaborated, detailing how the Elemental Rift suffered when Riot Games integrated Worlds assets. For instance, when the Rift transformed into the Infernal one, bushes vanished. Strangely, the bushes were still there but turned invisible, disrupting players’ champion choices and abilities.
However, Riot Games swiftly reverted the Worlds map accents on the Tournament Realm, the designated server for scrimmages, addressing the issue promptly.
Identifying the Game-Breaking Bugs in LoL Patch 13.20

The Tryndamere bug first emerged on September 27th during the Public Beta Environment (PBE) phase. The bug affected his E – Spinning Slash ability. A concerned Twitter user alerted Riot Games developers, stating, “There’s a bug on the PBE where Tryndamere doesn’t deal damage with his E spin’s area. It should deal damage in that circle, but it doesn’t.”
Additionally, Illaoi’s Test of Faith encountered issues, and a subtle jungle bug significantly reduced player experience points if they weren’t in close proximity to their jungle camp at the time of its demise.
Notably, Shaco’s win rate drastically plummeted, a mystery that perplexed the community before the implementation of hotfixes.
Riot Games Swiftly Implements Hotfixes for LoL Patch 13.20
To rectify the chaos, Riot Games expedited several hotfixes for League of Legends post-LoL Patch 13.20, including:
- Tryndamere hotfix
- Resolution for the Jax, Illaoi, and Jungle camp experience/item stacking bugs
- A fix for terrain and plants on Summoner’s Rift, rectifying their absence and misplacement issues.
Despite the rapid solutions, players criticized Riot Games for not addressing these issues during the patch’s live testing in the PBE, leaving the community disheartened by the unexpected turmoil in their beloved game.
