NHK has recently made a thrilling announcement regarding the highly-anticipated second season of the beloved television anime adaptation of Makoto Akui’s manga, “Ao no Orchestra” (The Blue Orchestra).

The anime initially captivated viewers when it premiered on NHK Educational on April 9, treating audiences to a 24-episode journey filled with musical enchantment and deep emotional connections.
Steering this creative venture was the accomplished Jun Sakata, renowned for his contributions to “To Your Eternity,” who served as the anime’s production supervisor and chief producer. Seiji Kishi, celebrated for his work on projects like “Assassination Classroom,” “Persona 4 The Animation,” and “Classroom of the Elite,” skillfully occupied the director’s chair.
The talented Yuuko Kakihara, known for her work on series such as “Chihayafuru” and “Persona 4 The Animation,” was not only responsible for crafting the series’ compelling scripts but also meticulously overseeing their execution. The captivating character designs came to life through the skillful hands of Kazuaki Morita, whose prior works include “Assassination Classroom,” “Classroom of the Elite,” and “Persona 4 The Animation.”
For those who may not be familiar with the manga, it is published in Indonesia by Elex Media. The manga’s premise intricately weaves a narrative of music and personal transformation, focusing on Hajime Aono, a violin prodigy, who, during the fall of his third and final year of middle school, ceases to play the violin due to deeply personal reasons.
Makoto Akui’s manga first made its debut on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE app in 2017 and has since garnered acclaim, earning the esteemed Best Shōnen Manga award at the 68th Shogakukan Manga Awards in January.
Excitingly, the second season announcement promises more musical enchantment and emotional connections for fans of “Ao no Orchestra.”
