Diablo 4 Players Uncover Clues to Mysterious Secret Cow Level, Despite Blizzard’s Denials

Despite Blizzard’s denial of a Secret Cow level in Diablo 4, dedicated players continue their quest to unearth this beloved franchise tradition. Beginning as a rumor with the first Diablo game, the Secret Cow level made its debut in Diablo 2 and persisted in the Resurrected version. Diablo 3 included it as an Easter egg in Whimsyshire, maintaining the tradition of comically arming Hell Bovines to the teeth. Diablo 2’s iteration promoted cooperative play and endgame content.

In Diablo 4, some players are convinced they’ve found a path to this mythical level. One player claims to have uncovered the method to obtain three relics needed to access the Secret Cow level. They assert that by slaying 666 cows in specific regions, players can obtain the Bloody Wooden Shard, Musty Tome, or Metallic Fragment to craft a key. This key allegedly opens the Forlorn Hovel, a secret cellar brimming with cows, reminiscent of Diablo 2’s Cow King. This discovery leaves players eagerly anticipating further revelations, even though Blizzard’s team has remained quiet about the Secret Cow level. Considering Diablo 4’s ongoing Season of Blood and its history of content updates, it’s possible that the Forlorn Hovel is just the beginning of more devilish bovine-related content in the game.
