Modern Warfare 3 Season 1: What to Expect and When to Anticipate Its Arrival

Call of Duty enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Modern Warfare 3, and they are especially curious about what the first season will bring. As seen in previous Modern Warfare titles, the game will follow a seasonal format, with periodic content updates to keep the gameplay fresh. Although the official release is yet to come, there is much anticipation surrounding Modern Warfare 3 Season 1, including its expected launch date and content.

Historically, the first season of a new Call of Duty game typically arrives about a month after the game’s official release. With Modern Warfare 2 being released on October 28th last year, Season 1 followed suit on November 16th, just two and a half weeks later. Therefore, Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 is anticipated to release in December 2023. While no official date has been confirmed, a release date of Wednesday, December 6, 2023, aligns with recent release trends.

Regarding content, Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 is expected to follow the pattern of previous Modern Warfare 2 seasons. This includes the introduction of the first Battle Pass, new Operators, weapons, balance adjustments, Zombie mode content, and more. A recent announcement at the CoD Next event confirmed the addition of three new 6v6 maps at the beginning of Season 1. These maps, along with additional content, are set to arrive in future seasons, allowing players to bring weapons and attachments from Modern Warfare 2 into the new game.

While the initial launch may not include a ranked ladder, it’s worth noting that ranked play is expected to be introduced in Season 1. This is an improvement over Modern Warfare 2, which didn’t introduce ranked play until the second season in February 2023. Stay tuned for further updates and news on Call of Duty as it unfolds.
