Classic 1995 FPS Game Gets a Modern Remaster for the Nintendo Switch
Nightdive Studios and Lucasfilm Games have announced that Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch on February 28, 2024. This remastered version of the classic 1995 FPS title originally released on MS-DOS and Apple Macintosh offers players the chance to step into the shoes of Kyle Katarn, a member of the Rebel Alliance who uncovers a sinister Imperial operation, setting the stage for an epic showdown between good and evil in the Star Wars universe.
While the remaster boasts features such as advanced 3D rendering, enhanced visuals on modern consoles (up to 4K resolution at 120FPS on PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Series X|S), gamepad support with new features like a weapon wheel, rumble, and motion/gyro controls, as well as Trophies and Achievements on various platforms, it’s important to note that the specific technical specifications for the Nintendo Switch version have not been disclosed.
