Developer Nightdive Studios has announced that the much-anticipated Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster will be launching for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on February 28, 2024.

Star Wars: Dark Forces

The legendary Star Wars first-person shooter from 1995 has undergone a revival by Nightdive Studios using their KEX engine. This remaster features modern gaming compatibility, with enhanced 4K resolution at 120 frames per second, upgraded gameplay, and improved textures and lighting. Comprehensive gamepad support ensures a seamless experience for players enjoying this iconic game on contemporary platforms.

Gameplay and Storyline

Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster lets you play as Kyle Katarn, a former Imperial turned Rebel Alliance mercenary. Tasked with infiltrating the Galactic Empire, Katarn’s goal is to expose the dangerous Dark Trooper Project, a potential threat to the Rebel cause. You’ll explore the galaxy, face challenges, and participate in covert operations in an exciting Star Wars story.
