Learn How to Prepare Delicious Fried Calamari in Stardew Valley with Tips and Ingredients

Fried Calamari is a delectable seafood dish that adds flavor to your Stardew Valley experience. To create this culinary delight, players can follow this guide, which outlines the recipe and ingredients required for Fried Calamari.

Obtaining the Recipe:

The Fried Calamari recipe can be acquired from Jodi, a resident of 1 Willow Lane in Pelican Town. Jodi sends the recipe via mail once players have established a three-heart friendship with her.

Ingredients for Fried Calamari:

To prepare Fried Calamari, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Catching Squid:

Squids can be found deep within the oceans of Stardew Valley, primarily at The Beach. Players can also try their luck catching Squid on the Beach Farm Map. The ideal time to catch Squid is between 6 PM to 2 AM during Winter. Using Magic Bait ensures Squid can be caught at any season or time of day. Additionally, Squids can be occasionally found in Garbage Cans during Winter.

  • Getting Wheat Flour:

Wheat Flour is a common cooking ingredient available year-round and can be purchased from Pierre’s General Store for 100g or JojaMart for 125g. Players also have the option to craft Wheat Flour by placing Wheat in a Mill, which can be purchased from Robin at the Carpenter’s Shop for 2,500g. To build a Mill, you’ll need 4 Cloth, 50 Stones, and 150 Wood. The processing time for Wheat to transform into Wheat Flour takes one night.

  • Making Oil:

Cooking Oil can be conveniently purchased from Pierre’s General Store for 200 gold. For those who prefer a hands-on approach, you can craft Oil using an Oil Maker, obtained when players reach Farming Level 8. Crafting an Oil Maker requires 50 Slimes, 20 Hardwood, and 1 Gold Bar. The Oil Maker can transform various ingredients like Corn, Sunflowers, and Sunflower Seeds into all-purpose cooking Oil. Processing time varies based on the ingredient used.

Cooking Fried Calamari:

Once you’ve gathered all the necessary ingredients, head to your kitchen in Stardew Valley. Click on the stove, select the Fried Calamari icon, and start cooking this delicious dish. The freshly cooked Fried Calamari will be added to your inventory.

Fried Calamari in Stardew Valley offers a delightful blend of flavors, and whether you choose to enjoy it for a subtle boost to your farmer’s health and energy levels or gift it to Pierre, it’s a dish worth savoring.
