In Spider-Man 2, the iconic wall-crawlers, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, utilize their incredible spider powers to traverse the vast expanse of New York City with remarkable speed and agility, even in the absence of specialized fast travel options. The game also offers additional movement capabilities, including slingshots scattered throughout the city for added mobility, glide rings for high-speed maneuvers, and the eventual ability to fast travel to preferred neighborhoods. However, unlocking fast travel and reaping district progress rewards involves a specific process.

Players can access the map by using the touchpad, allowing them to navigate the various neighborhoods of NYC, such as Little Odessa, Chinatown, and Midtown. Each area on the map features its own District Progress bar, which fills up as players complete activities within the region.
To unlock fast travel in Spider-Man 2, players must advance the District Progress Bar to the second tick. The first reward for reaching this milestone includes two Rare Tech Parts, vital for unlocking and crafting new suits for both Miles and Peter. The second reward grants access to fast travel within the specific district by hovering over the desired location on the map and pressing the Triangle button.

Further district progress rewards consist of two Hero Tokens, which are valuable for unlocking various suits.
Players can spot available activities on the map’s left side while hovering over the region. As the story progresses, more activities become accessible, including completing FNSM Requests, discovering Photo Ops locations, and retrieving Marko’s Memories fragments. By thoroughly engaging with the activities in each district, players can unlock all three rewards, including the convenient option of fast travel.
