In Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players have the opportunity to delve into the origin story of Peter Parker, highlighting his early friendship with Harry Osborn and their adventures as teenagers. A crucial mission in this narrative allows players to retrieve a flash drive from Empire State University, shedding light on their shared past.

During this mission, players take control of a young Peter Parker in a flashback sequence. The objective is to secure the flash drive from the school after hours, offering a glimpse into Peter’s early use of his budding spider-powers.

The mission unfolds as Peter and Harry work together, initially needing to distract the janitor. To achieve this, players can aim a cart at a standee of Flash Thompson, creating a diversion. The duo then separates, with Peter using his climbing abilities to reach the photo lab and refill his Web-Shooters. While maneuvering stealthily, players must avoid a patrolling guard.

After successfully refilling the Web-Shooters, Peter returns to meet Harry, and the situation becomes more complex as a security guard becomes involved. Players must engage in a stealth section to distract the police officers and ensure the security guard can retrieve the flash drive without interference.

By utilizing Peter’s Web-Shooters to pierce balloons, trigger cameras, and manipulate retractable seats, players can skillfully guide the police officers’ attention away from the security guard, ultimately allowing him to secure the flash drive.

This mission is a nostalgic trip into Peter’s past, offering players a rewarding 2000 XP upon its successful completion.
