Bandai Namco Entertainment has unveiled its newest addition to the Pac-Man game franchise, the “Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs” multiplayer game, showcased in a recently released trailer. Set to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam in early 2024, the game promises intense action with its 64-player battle royale setup.
The new release boasts diverse features such as custom matchmaking, a friend system, a ranked mode, and global leaderboards. These additions significantly enhance the competitive gameplay experience for players.
Bandai Namco Entertainment America plans to offer fans a hands-on experience at a pop-up event during New York Comic Con on October 13-14. Attendees will have the opportunity to get a taste of the game and explore its features.

The Pac-Man community bid farewell to the Pac-Man 99 online multiplayer game as Nintendo ceased its services. Launched in April 2021, it brought a modern twist to the classic Pac-Man, engaging 99 players in a battle to be the last one standing. Nintendo offered it as a complimentary game for subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online before concluding its services.
The iconic Pac-Man franchise by Bandai Namco Entertainment has its roots in the arcade game culture, making its debut in 1980. Over the years, it has branched out into various adaptations, including the 2013 “Pac-World” TV anime series.
