Gamers eagerly anticipating the arrival of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5 can now prepare for web-slinging adventures as preloading for the game has officially commenced. Sony recently announced that players who have pre-purchased the game can begin preloading it onto their PlayStation 5 consoles. The official message from Sony’s social media channels read, “Get ready to swing.”
However, it’s important to note that while players can preload the game, Spider-Man 2 won’t be accessible until its official release date on October 20. The game is scheduled to unlock at 12 AM ET on that day, as specified on its product page.

Given that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 weighs in at 98GB. Preloading the game allows players to have it fully installed and ready for action as soon as it becomes accessible.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 offers players the choice between a standard edition, priced at $70, and a digital deluxe edition, available for $80. The digital deluxe edition includes various in-game items and perks. Preordering any version of the game grants players access to exclusive content, including the Arachknight suit, Shadow-Spider suit, Web Grabber gadget, and three additional skill points.
While the limited-edition PS5 consoles featuring an arachnid-themed design are currently sold out, players can opt for a regular PS5 bundle that includes a digital download code for the game.
Insomniac Games, the developer of 2018’s Spider-Man, is creating the sequel, introducing new villains Kraven the Hunter and Lizard. The original Spider-Man game achieved outstanding success, with more than 33 million copies sold. Spider-Man 2 remains exclusive to the PlayStation 5 and is not available on the PlayStation 4.
