Sea of Stars: Romaya’s Secret Passage Puzzle – Your Guide to Freeing Duke Aventry

In Sea of Stars, players must unlock Romaya’s Secret Passage to rescue Duke Aventry – a guide to solving the intricate puzzle.

As players near the end game in Sea of Stars, an opportunity arises to aid one of the game’s more somber characters – the enslaved undead known as Duke Aventry. Having long suffered under the malevolent Necromancer Romaya, Hortence, the undead pirate, implores Zale and Valere for assistance in freeing him.

To achieve this, players must infiltrate a place called Romaya’s Secret Passage, a location accessible only through flight on the game’s map. However, the puzzle guarding the passage’s entrance can prove quite perplexing, leaving some players in search of a solution to gain access.

Unlocking Romaya’s Secret Passage in Sea of Stars:

Located outside of Romaya’s Passage are a series of rotating pillars, which players can manipulate using the Mistral Bracelet. These pillars feature multiple rune options as well as various colors associated with those runes. To decipher this enigma, players need to revisit the Flooded Graveyard to acquire the necessary clues.

The Answer Lies in the Flooded Graveyard:

Within the upper-left corner of the Flooded Graveyard map, players will encounter Duke Aventry, who laments the loss of his memories. Behind him, a cave entrance awaits exploration. Although a couple of enemies lurk within, Sea of Stars’ turn-based combat should pose minimal challenge at this point in the game. After dealing with them, focus on the runes adorning the cave’s rear wall. These runes should match the following descriptions:

• The first rune resembles red blades of grass.
• The second is a green, broken triangle.
• The third exhibits a purple lightning bolt with a dot positioned at the top left and another at the bottom right.

Players should either commit these rune patterns to memory or take a screenshot for reference, as they will need to recreate these runes on the pillars at the entrance to Romaya’s Secret Passage.

Returning to the Secret Passage location, manipulate the three pillars adorned with runes until they mirror the patterns described above. Subsequently, adjust the colors on the middle pillar until they align correctly. This sequence of actions will successfully open the entrance to Romaya’s Secret Passage, allowing players to progress in their mission to liberate Duke Aventry from the clutches of the malevolent Necromancer in Sea of Stars.
