In the brutal world of Mortal Kombat 1, mastering Fatalities is essential for every fighter. While each character has unique, hyper-violent finishers requiring specific button combinations, the game also offers a quicker option known as “Easy Fatalities.” However, players might encounter issues when trying to execute them. This guide will help you understand and use Easy Fatalities effectively.

The pause menu during a round provides players with access to basic moves, character movesets, and more. In the move list’s quick reference section, there is a subcategory labeled “Easy Fatalities.” On PlayStation, this combo usually involves pressing the R2 bumper and X. These Easy Fatalities are simpler than traditional Fatalities, as they only require two button presses.
How to Use Easy Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1
To utilize Easy Fatalities, players must possess a special currency called Easy Fatality Tokens. Without these Tokens, attempting Easy Fatalities won’t yield any results. These Tokens can be acquired exclusively from the Mortal Kombat 1 in-game store, and they are purchasable using the premium currency known as Dragon Crystals.

- 5 Easy Fatality Tokens: 100 Dragon Crystals
- 40 Easy Fatality Tokens: 800 Dragon Crystals
- 100 Easy Fatality Tokens: 2,000 Dragon Crystals
Players who purchased the Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat 1 will have some Dragon Crystals to start with, but those who opted for the basic edition will need to use real money to obtain them. Once Easy Fatality Tokens are purchased, their quantity is displayed in the bottom-right corner of the move list quick reference screen, ensuring players always know how many they have available.
Now, when the enemy is vulnerable, and the voice-over commands the character to “Finish Him” or “Finish Her,” players can execute a swift and gruesome Fatality with ease. This not only earns extra XP but also brings them closer to unlocking all the Kameos in MK1.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available on PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series S/X.
