Crunchyroll made an announcement on Wednesday, stating that it will be streaming the television anime adaptation of Maybe’s manga, Tales of Wedding Rings (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari), in January 2024. The anime will be available in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Additionally, the company revealed plans to host the world premiere of the first episode at the Anime NYC event on November 19 at 10:30 a.m. EST.

Scheduled to premiere in January 2024, the anime will be broadcasted on AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS11. The main cast, previously announced, includes Gen Sato as Satō, Akari Kitō as Hime, Miyuri Shimabukuro as Nephrites, Hitomi Ueda as Granart, Ai Kakuma as Saphir, and Mikako Komatsu as Amber. The anime is directed by Takashi Naoya (Real Girl) at Staple Entertainment, with series scripts by Deko Akao (After the Rain), and character designs by Saori Nakashiki (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!).
Crunchyroll is also digitally publishing the manga in English and describes the story as an otherworldly newly-wed romantic comedy. The manga, created by the duo Maybe (known for Dusk maiden of Amnesia and to the abandoned Sacred Beasts), made its debut in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine in March 2014. With 13 compiled book volumes published by Square Enix, the manga’s 10th volume hinted at its approaching conclusion in January 2021 and was confirmed to be entering its climax in August 2021.
