Call of Duty unveils extensive patch notes for the November 1 update, featuring bug fixes and improvements for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.

The development team behind Call of Duty has disclosed the patch notes for the November 1 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone. These patch notes encompass a comprehensive list of changes, bug fixes, and quality-of-life enhancements made to the current iterations of Call of Duty games. This update arrives as fans eagerly anticipate the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on November 10.
The commencement of Season 6 for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone on September 27 marked the initiation of the final season for Modern Warfare 2. The Haunting event followed shortly on October 17, introducing limited-time Halloween events and game modes. Throughout Season 6, Infinity Ward has consistently delivered updates to adjust the in-game meta. For instance, the October 23 update nerfed several popular assault rifles in Warzone. The November 1 update continues to make adjustments to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone but does not directly target weapon balancing this time.
As per Activision’s latest Call of Duty blog update, the November 1 patch includes a plethora of global bug fixes for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, addressing known issues that could lead to game crashes. Additionally, adjustments were made to the Lilith and Skeletor operator skins from The Haunting event to rectify ADS issues and finishing move glitches. Players can now expect smoother experiences when using the Lilith and Skeletor skins in Call of Duty games. Infinity Ward also resolved several issues with multiple weapon blueprints, including the “Alien Death Ray” and “Hellspawn” variants. Previously, these Halloween-themed weapon blueprints had limitations due to underlying bugs in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.

While Modern Warfare 2 did not receive any exclusive fixes in the November 1 update, two noteworthy adjustments were introduced for Warzone’s DMZ game mode. Players can now access more Active Duty Operator slots in DMZ, though they should exercise caution when facing The Butcher, as the update reduces the number of Stims dropped upon defeating minions.
This latest Call of Duty update primarily focuses on addressing lingering issues in preparation for the return of content from Modern Warfare 2 in Modern Warfare 3. Call of Duty’s Carry-Forward system ensures that weapons and cosmetics from Modern Warfare 2 will remain available in Modern Warfare 3. Furthermore, Sledgehammer Games plans to introduce Modern Warfare 2 maps over multiple seasons. Although updates for Modern Warfare 2 may be winding down, Modern Warfare 3 promises a year filled with new content and updates.
