The latest installment in the beloved Precure franchise, “Hirogaru Sky! Precure,” made its debut on February 5th, 2023, as the franchise’s 20th entry. Crunchyroll has taken charge of the streaming distribution, making the series accessible to audiences in North America, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
As the series unfolds, fans are treated to a preview of the upcoming fortieth episode, scheduled for release on November 5th, 2023.
Under the direction of Kouji Ogawa and with Ryunosuke Kingetsu handling the scripts, the show boasts character designs by Atsushi Saito, with animation production by Toei Animation.
The Japanese cast includes notable voice talents such as Akira Sekine as Sora Harewataaru/Cure Sky, Ai Kakuma as Mashiro Nijigaoka/Cure Prism, Aoi Koga as El, Ayumu Murase as Cure Wing, and Ayaka Nanase as Cure Butterfly. The series features an opening theme, “Hirogaru Sky! Precure ~Hero Girls~,” performed by Ami Ishii, and an ending theme, “Hirogarhythm,” performed by Ami Ishii and Chihaya Yoshitake.
The show’s plot revolves around the story of two settings, the heavenly realm Skyland and the city of Sorashido, where the Precure girls operate. When Skyland’s Princess El is abducted by a monster from the Underg Empire, Sora Harewataaru embarks on a heroic journey to rescue her, leading her to the enchanting city of Sorashido. There, she forms a bond with junior high school student Mashiro Nijigaoka, and together they embark on an adventure filled with friendship and courage.
