Incorporating an upgrade to the Trading Post, World of Warcraft’s forthcoming Patch 10.2, Guardian of the Dream, introduces convenient sorting options for browsing monthly stock. Since its introduction in February, the Trading Post allows players to accumulate Trader’s Tender by completing in-game activities, redeemable for a rotating inventory of items.

Patch 10.2 will bring sorting enhancements, enabling alphabetical, price-based, and duration-based organization of Trading Post items, available in ascending and descending orders on the Public Test Realm. Additionally, a dedicated section for items returning from previous months will be integrated into the Trading Post.
With the Trading Post approaching its one-year milestone, continual improvements to its user interface align with the developers’ intention to maintain it as an ongoing feature in future expansions. While fans anticipate these quality-of-life updates for smoother navigation and budgeting of limited Trader’s Tender, concerns have emerged. Recent months witnessed a rise in item prices and the inclusion of Trader’s Tender in certain cosmetic microtransactions. This has prompted worries among some players about the Trading Post potentially deviating into a cash-driven mechanism.

Despite reservations, there’s hope that player feedback will guide World of Warcraft in maintaining the Trading Post as an engaging and rewarding feature without veering into an overtly monetized path.
