Chaihiro’s Magical Journey Unfolds in the Countryside Bathhouse Adventure
Spirittea, a captivating life simulation game blending elements of Spirited Away and Stardew Valley, makes its debut on the Switch eShop today (13th November). Published by No More Robots and developed by Cheesemaster Games, the title offers players an enchanting experience, as illustrated in the newly released launch trailer.
In Spirittea, players take on the role of a writer seeking solitude in the countryside to work on their next novel. However, a fateful sip from a mythical teapot blurs the boundaries between the spirit world and reality. The game unfolds as players find themselves managing a bathhouse for the spirit world, a concept drawing inspiration from Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away, with a touch of Stardew Valley charm.
The launch trailer provides a glimpse into the game’s narrative, showcasing the protagonist’s journey of serving spirit customers, uncovering mysteries, and creating a thriving bathhouse. Spirittea’s distinctive style is evident, combining Ghibli-inspired visuals with EarthBound vibes, adding an intriguing layer to the gameplay.
For those unfamiliar with the game, every spirit assisted by the player converges at the bathhouse. Here, players can cater to their needs by offering towels, salts, snacks, and warm soaks. The progression involves upgrading the bathhouse with new furniture, rooms, and baths to attract diverse and exciting spirits, including the elusive Lord Spirits, each occupying an entire room.

Spirittea is available for download on the Switch eShop at a discounted price of £16.19 / $17.99, which includes a 10% launch period discount. Additionally, a free demo is accessible for players who wish to sample the magical experience before fully immersing themselves in the enchanting world of Spirittea.
