How to Switch Characters in GTA 5:

On Consoles:

In specific situations, players may encounter restrictions on character switching. This limitation could arise when a mission mandates the use of a specific character for completion. During these instances, players must stick with the designated character.

Additionally, there might be cases where the character switch option is unavailable due to proximity to a mission’s starting point. In such instances, driving away from the mission’s origin will resolve the issue, allowing players to resume seamless character switching.
