While traditional Na’vi weapons offer a direct approach, a strategic alternative lies in employ the humans’ technology, turning their own creations against them. The Systems Interrogation Device, or SID, stands as a pivotal tool in this endeavor, offering unique opportunities to exploit enemy resources.
Geting the SID
Acquiring the SID is an integral part of the main quest, “Welcome to the Resistance.” Speaking with scientist Alexander Tremayne advances the story line and grants players access to this powerful device, show casing its potential in various scenarios.
Using the SID for Hacking
Equipping the SID enables players to identify hacking opportunities across the landscapes and RDA installations. Utilize the device by holding L2/LT and pressing Triangle/Y to activate it, revealing icons on-screen.
Approach the targeted device, and while aiming the reticle, hold R2/RT to initiate the hack. Adjust the strength so the circle aligns within the green zone, overcoming initial security measures. Connect to the device or terminal and engage in a mini-game, maneuvering a cursor, evading traps, and unlocking paths.

Where to Use the SID
Apart from unlocking valuable loot in treasure chests, the SID serves a more impactful purpose. Disable turrets to safeguard ally fliers and clan members on the ground, or temporarily deactivate the formidable AMPs patrolling bases.
By neutralizing AMPs, dealing with these formidable foes becomes more manageable, enabling easier elimination through weapons or Ancestor Skill, Eject. Exercise caution as hacking occurs in real-time, leaving players vulnerable to enemy attacks.
