The highly anticipated anime, “Great Pretender: Razbliuto,” has officially revealed its release date, cast details, and additional information through a trailer launched on December 19, 2023. The title is scheduled to premiere on February 23, 2024, in Japan, with North American theaters screening the anime on January 9 and 10, 2024. This sequel by Wit Studio continues the narrative from the 2020 ONA, introducing Dorothy, a skilled swindler, as the protagonist.

The first trailer, released on December 19, 2023, on the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for the anime, confirms the February 23, 2024, release date on DMM TV in Japan. North American audiences will have an early screening opportunity on January 9 and 10, 2024. Additionally, Crunchyroll has secured the streaming rights, making the anime available worldwide, excluding China.

The promotional video showcases the main heroine, Dorothy, described as a confident and brilliant lady who has unfortunately lost her memory. The trailer also introduces Jay, the head of the Taiwanese underworld, and Yang, an expert con artist, along with other intriguing characters. The animation, characterized by its funky style and vibrant visuals, heightens anticipation for the series.

Yuka Komatsu takes on the role of Dorothy, while Shunsuke Takeuchi portrays Jay in the upcoming anime. Other cast members include experienced talents like Yasuyuki Kase and promising actors like Chiaki Kobayashi.

Hiro Kaburagi returns to direct the series under Wit Studio’s production, collaborating on the script with Takashi Kishimoto. Ryota Kosawa reprises his role as the screenwriter, and Hirotaka Kato returns for character design. Yutaka Yamada is responsible for the series’ music, with Shouji Hata serving as the sound director. “Great Pretender: Razbliuto” will continue the narrative from the previous season, with a focus on Dorothy, who grapples with amnesia.
