Rumors and Speculations Surrounding the Arrival of Hi-Fi Rush on Nintendo’s Handheld Console

Hi-Fi Rush, an inventive rhythm-based action game by Tango Gameworks and Bethesda, initially released exclusively for PC and Xbox Series consoles, has garnered attention for its unique gameplay, amassing over 3 million units sold by August 2023, including both purchased copies and Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
Recent rumors, however, suggest the game might extend its reach to the Nintendo Switch, prompting anticipation and discussions within the gaming community.
Possible Nintendo Switch Release in 2024:
Insider Nate the Hate hinted at the prospect of a highly acclaimed Microsoft exclusive, potentially making its way to rival platforms in 2024. Following this, a ResetEra user mentioned that Hi-Fi Rush might be among the titles expanding to the Nintendo Switch. However, it’s essential to note that the user later clarified the statement, acknowledging potential changes in platform plans.
Additionally, Final Weapon explored the possibility of the game reaching older generation consoles, including Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This speculation is based on an official rating received by Hi-Fi Rush in Australia in December 2022, over a month before its release on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
While these rumors might seem speculative, the track record of the insiders involved has been relatively accurate. Microsoft’s strategy of bringing exclusive titles to competitor platforms, as seen with games like Cuphead and Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch, adds a layer of credibility to these discussions.
Despite Microsoft’s recent trend of expanding its game library across platforms, including a 10-year contract with Sony for Call of Duty, there has been no official confirmation regarding Hi-Fi Rush. Tango Gameworks, the developer, has also not addressed these rumors. As with any speculation, it’s advisable to approach this information with caution until an official announcement is made.
