Introduction to Map Exploration
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown introduces a Metroidvania-style expansive world, diverging from the linear platforming of its predecessors. Unveiling the map in this game primarily involves exploration. As players guide Sargon through the game’s main quest, traversing new paths automatically reveals portions of the map, diminishing the fog in each section.

Fariba: The Key to Unveiling the Map
However, the game also features hidden entrances and areas that require specific abilities to access, making map revelation not always straightforward. This is where the NPC Fariba becomes crucial. Sargon first meets Fariba in Mount Qaf, and she appears in various locations across the main areas of the game. Encountering her allows players to purchase maps for 50 Time Crystals, instantly revealing all hidden parts of the current location.
Finding Fariba: Location Guide
To fully utilize Fariba’s assistance, players need to locate her in each area. Here are the specific locations where you can find Fariba:
- Lower City
Near the Haven area, there’s a large statue. Climb up a level (no special abilities required) and move right, as shown on the map. Fariba will be there with the Lower City map. - Hyrcanian Forest
Fariba is near a small ruin, accessible by climbing. Her location is indicated on the map, close to two Wak Wak trees and near the “Forest Ruins” fast-travel point. - The Depths
The map points to a location with an elevator. Use it to descend, then apply the Shadow of the Simurgh Time Power to create a time clone on the elevator. Ascend and snap back to the clone to find Fariba at the elevator’s bottom. - Old Royal Road
The map shows Fariba’s location to the left of the Upper City. Reaching her requires a double jump and the use of an upgraded Chakram to teleport through a gate. Fariba is found sitting on a carpet to the left.
Conclusion
These locations and strategies are key to fully unlocking and understanding the map in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, enhancing the exploration experience in this new Metroidvania adaptation.
