Merchants play a vital role in Palworld by connecting you to the game’s economy and providing essential resources to aid your adventure. This guide will detail the locations of Pal Merchants and Wandering Merchants, as well as how to capture them, allowing you to set up a convenient mini-market right in your base.

Types of Merchants in Palworld

  1. Pal Merchants: These friendly vendors are located in villages and Small Settlement areas. They sell basic items such as food, materials, and equipment and are recognizable by their light blue uniforms.
  2. Wandering Merchants: These nomadic traders roam the map and sometimes visit your base to offer a variety of items, including schematics, organs, and rare commodities. They are categorized based on their coat colors:
  • Red coat: Trades basic supplies and common items.
  • Dark green coat: Sells advanced equipment and materials.
  • Black Marketeer: Offers illegal or restricted items, featuring a highly lucrative and dynamic inventory.

Keep in mind that Wandering Merchants move around, so their locations change. However, they do revisit certain areas, so it’s worth checking these spots regularly.

Merchant Locations in Palworld

  • Small Settlement: Located at (155, -501), featuring a Pal Merchant and a red-coated Wandering Merchant.
  • Duneshelter: At (359, 348), you’ll find a Pal Merchant, a dark green-coated Wandering Merchant, a red-coated Wandering Merchant, and two Black Marketeers.
  • Fisherman’s Point: Situated at (-483, -749), this spot has a Pal Merchant, a green-coated Wandering Merchant, and a red-coated Wandering Merchant.
  • Oasis: Found at (440, -272), with a red-coated Wandering Merchant and a Pal Merchant.
  • Ashpit: Located at (470, -124), where you can encounter a Black Marketeer.

Capturing Merchants in Palworld

Capturing a Merchant involves a tactical approach. Engage in battle with a Merchant, ensuring not to provoke nearby NPCs. When the Merchant’s health is low, use a high-quality Pal Sphere to capture them. Afterward, evade the Wanted status by using a flying mount, and then safely return to your base. Once there, assign the captured Merchant to work and interact with them as a new member of your team, enhancing your base’s resource capabilities.
