How to Acquire Nails

Crafting in Enshrouded hinges on the availability of diverse resources, with nails standing out as a valuable component. Unlike other games, nails cannot be found ready-made; instead, players must seek out metal scraps and transform them into nails.

Thankfully, metal scraps are abundant in Enshrouded and can be obtained by looting drops from defeated enemies. In the Cinder Vault’s starting area, breaking metal urns with a pickaxe yields metal scraps. Another lucrative source is defeating Scavenger enemies near the Braelyn Bridge, as their drops often include metal scraps.

Abandoned villages and towns offer an alternative spot to discover metal scraps, often left on benches. Additionally, dismantling metal furniture and objects provides yet another method to collect these essential scraps.

While only one metal scrap is needed to craft nails, players must unlock the Blacksmith first. Completing the Sleeping Survivor quest is a prerequisite, requiring the establishment of a shelter for the Blacksmith. Once unlocked, utilize the Summoning Staff tool to place the Blacksmith in your base.

With the Blacksmith in your arsenal, crafting nails becomes possible using the acquired metal scraps.
