Shadowheart’s questline, Daughter of Darkness, unfolds in Act 3 of Baldur’s Gate 3. Depending on choices made in Act 2, Shadowheart’s journey may take different turns. If spared, Shadowheart learns about the potential survival of her parents, prompting the player to aid her in uncovering the truth about her past.

Finding the Sharran Lookout

To progress Shadowheart’s quest, head to Rivington on the outskirts of Baldur’s Gate in Act 3. Speak with Shadowheart, who suggests that the Sharrans likely have a lookout stationed near the bridge among the refugees. Despite the absence of objective markers, Shadowheart’s wound may react when close to the hidden Sharran agent.

You can find the lookout, Ferg Drogher, east of the Rivington fast travel waypoint. It is located in a small refugee camp below Arfur’s Mansion near the Requisitioned Barn. Look for Ferg under a tented area at coordinates (X:45; Y:-102.) Though initially dismissive, Ferg will direct Shadowheart to the House of Grief.

Locating the House of Grief

Similar to the Sharran Lookout, the House of Grief is not marked on the map. Cross the Wyrm’s Crossing bridge to access the Lower City of Baldur’s Gate, where the house is situated. Positioned northwest in the Lower City, above Lady Jannath’s Estate and to the left of the Baldur’s Gate fast travel waypoint at coordinates (X:-246; Y:-9.)

To reach it, cross the nearby bridge and take the path near the water by the fast travel point. Shadowheart may recognize graffiti on a wall nearby, indicating the house’s proximity. Additionally, her wound may serve as another clue, signaling the party’s proximity to the House of Grief.
