On August 12, 2024, Cult of the Lamb introduced its latest free DLC, the Unholy Alliance expansion, which brings the highly requested local co-op feature to the game. With this update, players can now team up with a friend to tackle the game’s dungeons and challenges together.
Here’s how to get started with local co-op in Cult of the Lamb:
How to Enable Local Co-Op
- Pause the Game: While in-game, pause the game and select the “Add Co-Op Player” option.
- Connect a Controller: Plug in an additional controller.
- Assign Characters: Choose whether the new player will control the lamb or the goat.
- Summon The Goat: Press “Summon The Goat” to begin co-op gameplay.
Note: Local co-op becomes available as soon as you complete the tutorial, so players will need to finish this section before adding a second player if starting a new save.
Co-Op Exclusive Tarot Cards and Relics
Once co-op is enabled, players will have access to exclusive Tarot Cards and Relics designed to enhance the multiplayer experience:

Co-Op Tarot Cards
- The Comrades: Deal double weapon damage when fighting close together.
- The Rivals: Deal double weapon damage when fighting at a distance.
- Bonds of Battle: Both players are linked by a beam that damages enemies on contact.
- The Synchronous: Perform critical hits when both players attack simultaneously.
- Flint and Steel: Rolling through each other has a 20% chance to trigger an explosion.
Co-Op Relics
- Cross Eye of the Crow (Fragile): Spawns an eye that moves between players, inflicting significant damage on enemies.
- Ashes of the Mercurial Mun (Slow): Creates an exploratory ring around both players.
- The Clasped Hands (Slow): Provides both players with half a heart of healing.
- Kudaai’s Lost Tooth (Fragile): Allows players to swap their weapon and Curse abilities.
- Wishbone of the Marbais (Slow): Grants the other player 10 seconds of invincibility when one player takes damage.
