The manga The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System (Tsuihousareta Tensei Juu Kishi wa Game Chishiki de Musou Suru) is officially getting a TV anime adaptation, produced by GoHands. A teaser trailer and key visual have already been released, building anticipation for the upcoming series.
The story follows a Heavy Knight who hails from a Sword Saint lineage but is exiled due to the widespread prejudice against the Heavy Knight class. Stripped of his succession rights, the protagonist has a unique advantage: he realizes that the world he’s living in is actually a game he once played extensively. In this game, the Heavy Knight is secretly the strongest class, allowing him to exploit his knowledge to gain the upper hand.
The manga, written by Lee Brocco, is serialized in Kodansha’s Young Magazine and is based on the original light novels by Nekoko. The announcement of the anime coincided with the release of the manga’s 11th volume.
The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System originally began as a web novel in 2021 on the platform Shousetsuka ni Narou. The light novels, illustrated by Jyaian, are published under the K Ranove imprint, with three volumes released as of February 2024. Fans of the series can look forward to the adaptation bringing this game-inspired world to life on screen.
