The Vessel of Hatred expansion for Diablo 4 introduces a new class, the Spiritborn, along with several Unique items tailored for it. One notable item is Sepazontec, a Unique Quarterstaff that enhances late-game builds. However, obtaining this powerful weapon can be challenging.
To specifically target farm for Sepazontec, players need to gather materials for one of two Lair Bosses once they progress far enough in the game. It may take several attempts to get the Quarterstaff to drop. Here’s how to secure it.

How to Get Sepazontec
Sepazontec is a Unique Quarterstaff available for characters level 73 and above. While it can drop randomly, targeting it is more effective when battling one of the following Lair Bosses:
- Duriel, King of Maggots
- The Echo of Andariel
Players must be on Torment 1 difficulty or higher to summon these bosses.
Sepazontec Stats:
- Slot: Unique Quarterstaff
- Affixes:
- +[16.0–35.0%] Chance for Basic skills to deal double damage
- +[2–4] to Follow Through
- +[0 – 242] Dexterity
- +[1.6–6.0%] Basic Lucky Hit Chance
- Basic Skills deal [25 – 50%] increased damage and always use their third attack; every third attack of a Basic Skill strikes three times.
While players can farm the Tormented versions of Duriel and Andariel for a Mythic Unique item, standard boss summons offer an equal chance of dropping Sepazontec with fewer material requirements.
Builds That Benefit from Sepazontec
Sepazontec is particularly effective for builds focusing on Basic Abilities, including:
- Thrash Thorns Build
- Rocksplitter Thorns Build
Players utilizing standard Core or Focus abilities should consider using the Rod of Kepeleke or another Legendary item instead.
