Redfall, an Xbox-only first-person shooter that features vampire hunting, was released in early May of this year and received scathing criticism from both gamers and reviewers. Currently, the majority of the reviews for the game on Steam are unfavourable.

The gameplay was primarily criticized for being unoriginal, generic, and rife with bugs, malfunctions, and performance issues.
Redfall’s player base has shrunk to ridiculous proportions—it is no longer even in the triple digits—cementing its status as a failure that won’t be coming back to life anytime soon.
Sadiqfaizee posted a screenshot of Redfall’s concurrent player statistics on Reddit, showing that the game reached an all-time high of 6,124 players in the four months after its introduction. Additionally, it stated that there were 15 players online at the time the screenshot was taken, down from a peak of 47 players in the previous 24 hours.
Although that’s obviously not ideal, the players weren’t at all shocked by the game’s lack of interest. One Reddit member commented, “Lmao, 15 people is too much.” “Oh, my. Haha. Four months have passed. They had the opportunity to repair it or provide a roadmap, but even if they do, the game is dead save for those who would play with it on their Game Pass, said another.
One comment said, “More people have commented on this post than have played in the last 24 hours, GG.” Since there are no plans to add new material to the game, it is quite improbable that the number of players would increase. Having said that, even if additional material was introduced, it probably wouldn’t matter because the game wasn’t enjoyable to begin with.
