BGIS 2023 Round 2 Day 4: Recap of Standings, Highlights, and Teams Advancing

Day 4 of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 Round 2 has wrapped up, concluding the matches for Groups 23 and 24 and marking the end of Round 2. This stage featured 32 groups, each comprised of 16 teams, all vying for the coveted 224 slots in Round 3. Over the course of four days, teams engaged in intense competition.

Day 3 had already witnessed impressive performances from renowned teams like Team Godlike and Team X Spark, and Day 4 continued to deliver exciting clashes. Underdog teams also stepped up, securing spots in Round 3, adding an intriguing twist to the proceedings.

In Group 23, Team Godlike made a significant impact, claiming first place with a commanding 133 points and 78 finish points, showcasing their dominance and consistency. Team X Spark secured the second spot with 109 points, 60 of which were earned through eliminations. 4 Sentinels and Deus Esports followed in third and fourth place with 62 and 58 points, respectively. Riot Esports narrowly missed qualification by just 2 points.

For Group 23, the qualified teams for Round 3 are:

In Group 24, Crosskill Esports, an up-and-coming and relatively inexperienced team, demonstrated their dominance with 107 points, 49 finishes, and two Chicken Dinners, securing the top position. OR Esports climbed to the second spot with 74 points, despite not securing a Chicken Dinner. Elf Clan took the third spot with 66 points, while BR Vintage claimed the fourth spot with 62 points. Despite securing a Chicken Dinner, No Mercy Esports couldn’t advance to Round 3, managing only 38 points in six games. Telugu Gods also struggled, scoring a mere seven points.

With Round 3 set to commence on September 14th, featuring 256 teams, including the 224 teams that qualified from Round 2 and the top 32 teams from the BGIS 2023 The Grind event, fans can anticipate the return of prominent teams like Gladiators Esports, Blind Esports, Team Soul, and more, promising an even higher level of competition in the BGIS 2023 tournament.
