League of Legends has introduced a new and formidable champion known as Briar, the Restrained Hunger, who promises to shake up the game’s dynamics. Players can now acquire Briar for 7,800 Blue Essence or 975 Riot Points, making her accessible for gameplay in both normal and ranked queues. After two weeks, her price will be reduced to 6,300 Blue Essence, providing long-term affordability.
Briar serves as a jungler with a relentless appetite for engaging enemies, embodying the “feast or famine” style of play. Lacking innate health regeneration, she relies on her insatiable hunger, which she satiates through frenzied attacks on specific targets.
Despite being initially restrained by a pillory, Briar can unlock her true potential, primarily demonstrated through her ultimate ability, “Certain Death.” Upon activation, Briar kicks the hemolith securing her pillory in a chosen direction, propelling herself at incredible speed toward any enemy champion struck, delivering the full impact of her ultimate’s name.
To complement her debut, Briar’s launch skin is part of the fresh “Street Demons” skin line, featuring demon-like champions in contemporary urban attire, reflecting a group of rebels causing havoc and having fun. Additionally, players can explore other Street Demons outfits for champions like Neeko, Dr. Mundo, Zyra, Brand, and Rengar, available for purchase in the store for 1,350 RP each.
Due to her release timing, Briar is unlikely to be eligible for play in this year’s World Championship, which is scheduled to commence in a few weeks. The tournament will be conducted on Patch 13.19, introducing another skin line that celebrates life after death.
