Genshin Impact has unveiled an official character teaser for the upcoming Hydro character, Neuvillette. He is set to be featured in the first banner cycle of version 4.1, scheduled for release around September 27.
Neuvillette has already made appearances in Genshin Impact’s main storyline, leaving players intrigued by his calm, friendly demeanor and formidable power, as he managed to defeat Tartaglia with a single attack. The upcoming update is expected to delve deeper into his character and backstory.

The teaser video, titled “Neuvillette: Watcher in the Deep,” showcases the Hydro user in his office, reminiscing about the past before being interrupted by his assistant. Rumors suggest that Neuvillette may rival even the Fontaine Archon, Furina, in terms of strength, which is unusual for playable characters in the game. As the Chief Justice of Fontaine, Neuvillette holds significant importance in the nation’s lore, drawing comparisons to Zhongli due to their shared calm demeanor.

In terms of combat, Neuvillette is anticipated to be a new DPS character with a Charged Attack-focused kit. He can unleash a unique Hydro beam with his Charged Attack, dealing substantial damage to groups of enemies. However, this attack gradually depletes his HP until it reaches 50%. Given the need to build high HP for Hydro users, this drawback should not be overly concerning. Fans have also praised Neuvillette’s combat animations as some of the best in the game.

Neuvillette will share a Limited Character Banner with the popular Pyro polearm user, Hu Tao, potentially creating synergy between their elements for powerful reactions. Additionally, the second banner cycle will introduce another catalyst user named Wriothesley.
