Netflix has unveiled a sneak peek at its forthcoming Devil May Cry anime, set to debut on the streaming platform in the near future. The project, which was initially announced in 2018, is a collaborative effort between Capcom, Studio Mir, and Adi Shankar, the executive producer of Netflix’s Castlevania series.

The teaser trailer, released by Netflix, provides a first look at Dante, the iconic protagonist of Devil May Cry. In classic fashion, Dante can be seen narrowly escaping a fatal sword attack while simultaneously unleashing a barrage of bullets from his trademark pistols. The brief animation snippets showcased in the teaser exhibit the same high-quality animation style seen in Netflix’s Castlevania series and the upcoming Castlevania: Nocturne anime.
While Netflix did not provide further details about the series, it referred to the teaser as a “SSStylish first look.” A release date for Devil May Cry on Netflix has yet to be confirmed, but the streaming service assures viewers that it is “coming soon.”
