In Pokémon Go, players are encouraged to stay active by hatching Eggs, which yield encounters with various Pokémon once a certain distance milestone is reached. These Eggs come in different categories, ranging from 2km to 12km, each requiring players to cover varying distances.

To determine the hatch time, Eggs are color-coded and track steps once placed in an Incubator. Players start with one Incubator but can obtain more through leveling up or by purchasing them with PokéCoins.

Hatching an Egg grants players experience points, typically around 500 to 1,000 XP, with an additional 500 XP if it’s a new Pokémon. Additionally, players receive Candy for the hatched Pokémon, with a maximum of 40 depending on the CP (Combat Power) of the Pokémon.

Eggs have predefined lists of Pokémon they can yield, which Niantic rotates periodically. Events may introduce additional Pokémon to keep the experience fresh.
