Modus Games and Mixed Realms have recently announced the availability of their deckbuilding RPG Gordian Quest for the Nintendo Switch.
Immersed in a treacherous world where monstrous creatures roam freely, Gordian Quest thrusts players into the desperate realm of Wrexia. As they embark on their journey, players must confront rogues and bandits while exploring dynamically generated landscapes, striving to restore peace. The game draws inspiration from esteemed franchises like Ultima and Dungeons & Dragons, catering to the preferences of seasoned enthusiasts of the genre.
At the beginning, players choose different classes like Swordhand, Druid, and Golemancer, each with unique gameplay styles to learn. There are almost 800 skills, both passive and active, for players to use in turn-based challenges. To win, players need to use smart strategies. For those who like competing, Gordian Quest has a 1v1 mode where players can have their three characters fight against their friends.
Gordian Quest presents an array of features, including multiple difficulty settings, a wealth of loot that can either empower or afflict characters, and pivotal decision-making intertwined with dice rolls. Notably, the game incorporates an Artifacts system, designed to enhance the gameplay experience across Realm Mode, Campaigns, and Adventure Mode.
