In September, concerns arose due to controversy surrounding Unity, the engine on which the game relies. Initially, Unity proposed runtime fees that sparked a wave of criticism from developers, including Innersloth. Following the community’s backlash, Unity eventually reversed its decision, but the situation raised questions about the future of the engine, particularly with the departure of CEO John Riccitiello. As this story unfolds, Innersloth has chosen to focus its energies on delivering the highly-anticipated fifth map to Among Us.
Come Tuesday, October 24, players across PC, mobile, and current consoles will be able to dive into The Fungle, a map that promises fresh challenges and potential hazards. The patch will become available for download starting at 10:00 AM Pacific, ensuring that players have the opportunity to explore The Fungle to its fullest. The map was initially teased during a Nintendo Direct broadcast on September 14, captivating players with a one-minute animated trailer that hinted at what was to come.

In June 2023, Among Us celebrated its fifth anniversary with an update and an exciting collaboration featuring Pusheen.
