GTA Online Halloween Update Unleashes Spooky Surprises, Including Ghostbusters-Inspired Vehicle

Rockstar’s latest Grand Theft Auto Online update brings Halloween thrills with new modes, missions, and a familiar-looking ride for Ghostbusters enthusiasts.

The Halloween season descends upon Grand Theft Auto Online, treating players to a chilling array of content in the latest update. Within the eerie content are three chilling modes, a mission to capture ghosts, lucrative GTA$ and RP rewards, and freebies. However, players delving into this ghostly update might want to be cautious. As uttering “Trick or Treat” could turn them into ghosts themselves.

Despite the rarity of GTA Online updates, Rockstar consistently delivers Halloween surprises each year. Previous years brought sasquatch outfits, UFOs, phantom cars, and roaming slashers, all wrapped in a Halloween-themed package. This year proves no different, providing an exciting array of content for devoted GTA Online fans.

The highlight of this year’s update is the introduction of the Albany Brigham muscle car, available for purchase at the Southern San Andreas Super Autos shop or obtainable for free at the Vinewood Car Club for GTA+ members. This vehicle takes on a spooky transformation with the Ghosts Exposed livery, earned through capturing specific spectral entities on camera. Although it bears a striking resemblance to the Ghostbusters’ Ecto-1, the likeness maintains a careful legal distance.

Alongside the Ghosts Exposed challenge, players can engage in three new Halloween-themed Deathmatches. “Drop Dead” pits the living against the deceased in an asymmetric combat team deathmatch, while “Suck It Up” challenges players to deal damage to heal themselves. For a more intense experience, “Damned and Lose” offers a free-for-all deathmatch within a maze, sans mini-map blips. All three modes promise double GTA$ and RP rewards, quadrupled for GTA+ members.

Beyond the Deathmatches and spectral car hunt, players will encounter possessed animals, phantom cars, and UFOs roaming the virtual landscape. Business Battles present an opportunity to pilfer spaceship parts from Fort Zancudo, while Halloween mask collectors can obtain these eerie disguises by completing various missions. Additionally, the GTA Online Job Creator welcomes a selection of Halloween-themed props, enhancing the creative possibilities for players.

GTA Online’s Halloween 2023 update is available now, inviting players to explore the spooktacular content at their leisure. While some elements may echo past Halloweens, this year’s update introduces surprisingly fresh offerings. The Halloween festivities are set to haunt GTA Online throughout the holiday season and into November.
