A Pokemon GO enthusiast offers a handy tip for players to manage the different sizes of Pumpkaboo during the Halloween event.

In the spirit of Halloween, a Pokemon GO player has shared a useful trick for organizing Pumpkaboo by their varying sizes. Pumpkaboo and its evolution, Gourgeist, introduced size-dependent appearances to Pokemon GO’s mobile Pokedex.
Each October, Niantic brings Halloween-themed events to Pokemon GO, with Pumpkaboo becoming a recurring feature since 2021. A Pokemon GO fan has taken to social media to remind fellow players of a simple method to organize these pumpkin-like creatures based on their sizes.
Reddit user flippycipher pointed out that players can easily differentiate between Pumpkaboo sizes by sorting their Pokemon based on their Pokedex numbers. By employing this sorting method, the game will arrange the monsters from XS to XXL versions, making it convenient for trainers to gauge the number of Pumpkaboo of each size they possess in Pokemon GO.
The post on the r/PokemonGO subreddit has garnered positive responses from fans who appreciate the helpful tip. Some players, already familiar with this feature, noted that it’s not limited to Pumpkaboo; trainers can use the sort-by-number function to group event Pokemon and arrange Unown alphabetically as well.
While players are busy capturing spooky Pokemon during the Halloween events, they can also look forward to the monthly Pokemon GO Community Day. October’s featured Pokemon is Timburr, and the event is scheduled for October 15 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time. During this period, trainers will have an increased chance of encountering the shiny form of the Fighting-type Pokemon. Additionally, Professor Willow will provide a special research task, and special trades will be available.
The tip from flippycipher regarding sorting Pokemon by number will undoubtedly assist trainers in managing their Pokemon collections effectively. Looking ahead, Niantic is teasing a new Party feature for Pokemon GO, allowing up to four players to share in-game information and form raid teams, although a release date for this mode has not been confirmed.
