When Will Fortnite OG Season 9 Begin?
Following the recent Seasons 7 and 8 rollout on November 16, the time has come for the next phase. Season 9 and X in Fortnite OG are slated to commence on Thursday, November 23. Expect downtime for the v27.11 update to likely kick off around 4 AM ET, with the update itself going live at 9 AM ET – coinciding with the daily quests renewal time.
While termed as a hotfix, this patch is anticipated to bring substantial changes, combining elements from two different seasons.
What’s in Store for Seasons 9 and X?
Season 9 marks the third patch in Fortnite Season OG’s nostalgic journey. The previous patches saw the reemergence of Season 5 items and locations and introduced elements from Seasons 7 and 8, including an entire new biome to the OG map.
The upcoming hotfix will retire several weapons but compensate with exciting additions. Here’s a breakdown of what players can expect:
Removed:
- Named locations: Tilted Towers, Retail Row
- Items: Clingers, Buried Treasure, Pump Shotgun, Poison Dart Trap, Suppressed Assault Rifle, Balloons
Added:
- Named locations: Neo Tilted, Pressure Plant, Mega Mall
- Items: Heavy Sniper Rifle, Proximity Grenade Launcher, Air Strike, Junk Rift, Storm Flip, Jetpack, The Baller
Furthermore, Dirt Bikes and the Kinetic Blade are set to return to the island due to random rift encounters.
As this update concludes the season, these changes will likely persist until the end of Fortnite Season OG.
