World of Warcraft’s upcoming expansion simplifies Dragonriding abilities, enhancing the Dynamic Flying experience for players.

World of Warcraft’s expansion, The War Within, will eliminate Dragonriding Glyphs and Talents, delivering players all necessary abilities without the need for specific acquisitions across the Dragon Isles. Upon unlocking Dynamic Flying, players will seamlessly gain access to all traits and skills without additional prerequisites or collectibles.
During BlizzCon, World of Warcraft announced The War Within as the inaugural expansion in the Worldsoul Saga trilogy. The update brings Dynamic Flying, a refined version inherited from Dragonflight, as a central feature. However, this enhancement will involve leaving behind a fundamental aspect of Dragonriding—Glyphs and Dragonriding Traits.
World of Warcraft’s production director, Michael Bybee, and senior game designer Sean McCann shared insights during an interview with content creator MrGM at BlizzCon. Bybee confirmed that Glyphs and Dragonriding Traits will integrate directly into the base Dynamic Flying experience within The War Within.
“In this iteration, Dynamic Flying will include all these abilities as inherent features accessible on mounts compatible with the system, encompassing traits introduced in World of Warcraft Patch 10.2.”
While the transition to The War Within was anticipated to bring over Dynamic Flying, many assumed players would still need to acquire Glyphs. The revelation that all these abilities, including new traits, become inherent aspects of Dynamic Flying suggests an enriched experience for players delving into Dragonflight for the first time.
The expansion’s impact on the unlocking process of Dynamic Flying for new players remains uncertain. Presently, World of Warcraft grants normal Flying until level 30 and Dragonriding in Dragonflight at level 60. However, with the possibility of characters reaching the Dragon Isles by level 10 in the new expansion, earlier access to flying capabilities might be feasible.
World of Warcraft enthusiasts anticipate significant enhancements to Dragonriding. With Patch 10.2.5 extending Dragonriding beyond the Isles and The War Within facilitating Dynamic Flying for numerous mounts, including Druid Flight forms, traversing Azeroth’s skies is poised to reach unprecedented levels of accessibility and enjoyment.
