The upcoming New Year’s event, starting on January 1, 2024, at 10 AM local time and concluding on January 3, 2024, at 8 PM local time, promises an array of exciting features. Two new costumed Pokemon, Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff, adorned with ribbons, will make their debut. Plus, the cherished Gen 5 Pokemon, Darumaka, will star in Field Research Tasks and more frequent wild encounters. Avatars can now sport Darumaka hats, available as in-game store items.

To add to the festive ambiance, in-game fireworks will light up the skies.

Other event highlights include the appearance of some of the best baby Pokemon from 7km Eggs collected during the event. Exclusive Five-Star Raid Pokemon will vary by region, with Buzzwole in the Americas, Xurkitree in the Asia-Pacific regions, and Pheromosa in Europe. Mega Ampharos will be featured as the Mega Raid Pokemon across all regions.
