The second part of Pokemon Go’s Winter Holiday 2023 event has kicked off on Christmas Day, December 25, 2023, and will run until December 31, 2023, concluding at 8:00 p.m. local time. Trainers can look forward to a variety of in-game activities and bonuses during this festive event.

New Pokemon Variants:
In this part of the Winter Holiday event, players can encounter Psyduck and Golduck wearing holiday attire, with the added excitement of the possibility to catch shiny versions of these festive Pokemon.
Event Bonuses:
Similar to Part 1, trainers have the option to choose their preferred bonus for completing Timed Research. The choices include either double XP for catching Pokemon or double Stardust. Additionally, opening Gifts during the event will yield increased XP and Stardust.
Timed Research: Winter Wishes:
The free branching Timed Research, “Winter Wishes,” introduced in Part 1, continues into Part 2. Players will receive their chosen bonus (XP or Stardust) based on their selection in the first part. Completion of the research tasks rewards trainers with items and the opportunity to encounter winter-themed Pokemon.
Wild Encounters:
Throughout the event, specific Pokemon wearing holiday attire or with festive accessories will appear more frequently in the wild. Notably, several of these Pokemon, marked with a ‘ * ,’ may also be encountered as shiny versions.

Raids:
Various Pokemon, including Pikachu wearing holiday attire, will be featured in raids during the Winter Holiday Part 2 event. Pikachu has an increased chance of being shiny in raids compared to encounters in the wild.
- One-Star Raids include Pikachu wearing holiday attire, Alolan Vulpix, Spheal wearing a holiday scarf, Crabrawler, and Cetoddle.
- Three-Star Raids feature Dewgong, Lapras, Delibird wearing a holiday ribbon, and Glaceon wearing an Undersea Holiday outfit.
Eggs:
Certain Pokemon will hatch from 2 km Eggs during the event, with Eevee wearing a holiday hat and Psyduck wearing holiday attire having an elevated chance of being shiny.
Field Research Task Encounters:
Completing specific Field Research tasks will grant players encounters with various Pokemon, each donning holiday-themed attire. Additionally, completing certain tasks will reward Mega Energy for Mega Abomasnow and Mega Glalie.
