Is Jing Yuan a Worthy Addition?
Jing Yuan remains a formidable Erudition character, especially if your lineup lacks a strong AOE DPS. His value as a pull increases if you don’t have Kafka, but decreases if Kafka is already part of your team.

With the upcoming release of Acheron, a new Lightning DPS character, Jing Yuan’s value becomes a subject of debate. Considering the game hasn’t even hit its first anniversary and we’re already anticipating the third Lightning DPS, it might be wise to wait for leaks on Acheron’s abilities post the 2.0 patch launch to compare and decide which character aligns better with your team strategy.
Understanding Jing Yuan’s Lightning Lord Ability
skill, Rifting Zenith, deals Lightning Damage to all enemies while boosting the attack count of the Lightning-Lord, his summoned entity, for the next turn.
The Lightning-Lord, brought forth through Jing Yuan’s Talent, Prana Extirpated, gains increased Speed and damage with each accumulated attack count, maxing out at ten. Classified as follow-up attacks, the Lightning-Lord targets both a single enemy and adjacent foes with Lightning Damage.
Although the Lightning Lord is a significant contributor to Jing Yuan’s damage output, it accounts for roughly a third of his total damage. In the Pure Fiction game mode, it’s evident that Skill and Ultimate attacks are potent enough to defeat enemies without solely depending on the Lightning Lord, underscoring the versatility and power of his complete kit.
