In the upcoming Apex Legends Season 20, Respawn Entertainment is set to revolutionize the game with a host of exciting changes. From Legend Upgrades to revamped rewards and a reimagined ranked system, Season 20, dubbed Breakout, promises to elevate the Apex experience. Here’s an overview of what’s in store:

Apex Legends Season 20: Breakout – Introducing Legend Upgrades

Prepare for the Legend Upgrade system, a dynamic in-match progression feature that adds depth to the Battle Royale experience. With Legend Upgrades, customize your Legend’s abilities to suit your playstyle. Options reset at the start of each match. Earn Evolution (EVO) to level up your Legend, improve armor tiers, and unlock unique upgrades, influencing squad strategy.

EVO Rework

The EVO rework brings a significant change, replacing Body Shields with Legend Armor that evolves with your progress throughout the game. You can swap or drop Shield Cores, which contain shield HP, and fallen enemies drop Shield Cores in their Death Boxes. Overcharge temporarily boosts armor with extra shield health, while various actions earn EVO points, contributing to personal and team progression.

Apex Legends Season 20: Breakout – Ranked Rework

Ranked mode undergoes a transformation, with level requirements reverting to 20 and splits returning. Players start at 1 RP, with a quick split reset dropping rankings by six divisions. Scoring emphasizes eliminations over placements, with transparent scoring models and visible Player Rankings. Bonuses for maintaining top placements and elimination streaks are introduced, enhancing the competitive experience.

New Content – Thunderdome, Performance Mode, Breakout Rewards

Thunderdome debuts as a versatile map for Mixtape modes, offering fast paced gameplay across multiple lanes. Performance Mode on current gen consoles unlocks 120Hz output for supported displays, optimizing gameplay up to 120 FPS. Breakout Rewards feature six unlocked Legends, special challenges, and exclusive cosmetics, including the Reactive Top Tier Flatline and Wraith cosmetics.

Apex Legends 5th Anniversary Celebrations

Join the 5th Anniversary Collection Event, celebrating the Apex community with unique rewards and the new LTM: Straight Shot, delivering rapid fire Battle Royale action for more intense game play experiences.

Prepare to dive into Season 20 of Apex Legends and experience the ground breaking changes first hand.
