The Indian market will soon see the comeback of Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), the South Korean developer announced in a statement. Due to security concerns, the game was outlawed in the nation in July. Given that BGMI was once among the most played mobile games in the nation, the return of the game is eagerly anticipated by both fans of the franchise and Esports organizations.

“We are extremely thankful to the Indian government for enabling Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) to continue operations. We want to express our appreciation to the gaming community in India for their assistance and endurance over the past several months. It gives us great pleasure to inform you that Battlegrounds Mobile India will soon be downloadable, and we look forward to seeing you again on our platform”. Sean Hyunil Sohn, the CEO of Krafton India, made the comment in a press release. “We believe in the potential of gaming to bring people together and create amazing experiences.

As we had mentioned earlier, BGMI had already reached 100 million players in India and was responsible for the majority of Esports industry earnings and viewership. Given that BGMI completely controlled the market among fans and esports participants, the unexpected ban left many businesses fearful for the future.
