Genshin Impact’s 3rd Anniversary Plans Disappoint Fans, but Version 4.1 Brings Exciting Banner Line-up

Genshin Impact’s highly anticipated third-anniversary celebration has left many fans disappointed. The Version 4.1 Special Program livestream recently confirmed that the anniversary event, titled “Bathing in Flowing Moonlight,” would include a Daily Login Event similar to the previous two anniversaries.

This decision has been met with criticism, as players were hoping for a more generous celebration. The event offers 10 Intertwined Fates for logging in for seven days, along with various in-game rewards, including Primogems, fragile resin, and commemorative items.

However, the absence of a free selection among the game’s 5-star characters has left many fans underwhelmed, especially when compared to more generous anniversary events in other miHoYo titles like Honkai Impact 3rd.

Despite the disappointment with the anniversary plans, the reception to Version 4.1’s banner lineup has been more positive. The update will introduce two new 5-star characters, Neuvillette and Wriothesley, who have garnered significant attention from the player base. Both characters will debut in Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Version 4.1, respectively. This update will also see the return of popular characters like Hu Tao and Venti, adding excitement to the anniversary celebration.

Additionally, Version 4.1 will expand the Fontaine map, allowing players to explore the Fortress of Meropide area, which plays a crucial role in the ongoing storyline of the update. Despite the initial disappointment, the strong character lineup and new content have generated renewed interest and anticipation among Genshin Impact players.
